Public Domain are famed on rave dance floors worldwide for their immediately recognisable, turbo-charged hard house anthem Operation Blade (Bass In The Place). This crucial cut entered the UK national charts at number 5 (achieving a silver disc) and went on to sell over 2 million copies worldwide. It entered the German National charts at number 4 (gold disc), went double platinum in Australia, reached number 9 in Italy and has appeared in over 220 compilation albums worldwide. Not bad for a debut single!
Similar success followed for their storming album Hard Hop Superstars featuring floor-filling monsters such as Too Many MCs, Let Me Clear My Throat, and Rock Da Funky Beats (featuring Public Enemy’s Chuck D).
Since then the band have toured extensively worldwide. Highlights have included a Russian dance fortress two miles out to sea, sell out tours of Australia and New Zealand, Privilege in Ibiza, Love Parade, Velfarre in Tokyo and every major UK festival including Homelands and Reading.
