They soon were in big demand and hooked up with singer / performer Sam Sprackling aka Saffron. She brought a sexier edge to the band on stage and it also enabled them to bring vocals to their underground sound, making themselves more appealing to a wider audience. They released 'Anthem' performed by Saffron, which stormed the national charts at No.8. They were probably the most successful dance act at this time which also enabled other acts to become established by setting the 'formula' for keyboard artists to perform live. 'Anthem' was also doing extremely well in the USA and entered the Billboard charts at No.1. N-Joi then released 'Live in Manchester' which was very different to the more commercial hit 'Anthem', but still entered the charts at No.36. By now N-Joi were busy touring the USA, UK, Europe and Australia and it wasn't too long before international artists such as Madonna and Annie Lennox were requesting remixes. They remixed 'Little Bird' for Annie Lennox but they unfortunately were too busy gigging to remix for Madonna and they had to decline her offer! N-Joi's manager at the time had taken on an unknown rave act called 'The Prodigy', who loved what N-Joi did so much that they decided to form a band themselves. Eventually over the years 'The Prodigy' became more successful than N-Joi but still wanted to perform with them, so when they were offered a tour they requested N-Joi to support. Subsequently N-Joi toured the UK supporting 'The Prodigy'.
After a very tiring tour of the USA, N-Joi decided to go their separate ways, but they were still getting requests to gig, and occasionally they did! In about 1996 they decided to go for it one last time and put together an album of new material 'Inside Out' entered the national top 50.
A legendary Rave band that throughout the nineties had four UK top 20 hits, two Number 1’s in the U.S.A Billboard
and were the initiators of the “keyboard dance band” revered by the likes of the Prodigy and Chemical Brothers.
Since re-forming in 2006 Njoi have had four top 10 dance chart hits including the remake of their Biggest hit “Anthem”, and have been well on their way to writing a new Album of cutting edge dance that is up there with the best of them, but due to a huge increased demand from promoters, the younger generation and the massive resurgence in OLD SKOOL club nights, they decided to take time out from their busy schedule of writing music for Film and TV and re-form to play their famous old sets, from the “LIVE IN MANCHESTER” ep and let the BASS KICK.
