That changed this year as with over half a billion streams as a producer and remixer, Mark went back to the studio with vocalist Mimi Lane to rerecord the 25th Anniversary edition of Maniac. They launched it with a sold-out show at 3 Arena and so far, it’s been added to over 20,000 playlists and is heading for a million streams

Mark Mc Cabe’s “Maniac 2000” Spent ten weeks at the Irish number one spot in 2000, it overtook All Saints and Madonna, Backstreet Boys and blocked Westlife from getting their fifth consecutive number one. Since then, at every over and under 18s disco happening in GAA, rugby or night club across the country, Maniac 2000 has been the pinnacle of the night. It is the unofficial Irish Anthem and this year it turned 25! While it is the fifth biggest selling single in Irish chart history, Mark had kept Maniac 2000 offline, believing that scarcity made it sacred.
