Firin’ Squad are moving on up and continue to fire up the weekend across the UK with the hottest club bangers in the mix at a new, earlier time on Capital Xtra

Catch the prime-time radio show with Chris Vee, Sean Slimm and Mista Grill on Saturday evenings between 4pm and 7pm

Their soundtrack to the weekend is a unique blend of music that is progressive and pulls together many different genres into three hours of essential listening

For four years their show on Choice FM was one of the most listened to in London and they follow on from that success by taking the music that they love to a national audience

In October 2013 they were signed up for the exciting launch of Capital Xtra, broadcasting to the nation on DAB digital radio and on 107.1 & 96.9 FM in London

Prior to joining Choice FM, they enjoyed a very successful stint on Kiss FM where they were able to champion urban music and had the opportunity to interview many of today’s mega-stars, such as 50 Cent, Usher, Sean Paul, Alicia Keys and many more

There have been numerous awards along the way. In 2006 they received a nomination for Best Radio Show at the Urban Music Awards, and they received the industry’s highest accolade by winning Gold at the Sony Radio Academy Awards in 2007 and were nominated once again in 2008, for their groundbreaking Firin’ Squad Unsigned Podcast

They have worked with some of the biggest music and entertainment brands in the world including MTV,

Ministry Of Sound and AEG Live, for who they hosted a series of after show parties with The Black Eyed

Peas, when their world tour touched down at The O2 in London – celebrity guests in attendance included Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Cheryl Cole and Chris Rock to name but a few

Firin’ Squad are no strangers to high profile events having played at many of London’s biggest music festivals, such as Notting Hill Carnival and The Prince’s Trust Urban Music Festival. They have supported the likes of Busta Rhymes and Ludacris on stage, and have been joined during sets at some legendary club nights for spontaneous performances by the likes of Jay-Z, Missy Elliott, Mark Ronson and P Diddy

Their versatility has also enabled them to build up an impressive list of corporate clients having entertained guests at Old Trafford for Manchester United’s UNICEF Gala Dinner, provided in-store entertainment at the launch of Levi’s flagship store on Regents Street and hosted Christmas parties for the likes of Top Shop

With Mista Grill on the mic, playing host while Sean Slimm and Chris Vee mix their way through tune after tune, back to back behind the decks, the Firin’ Squad experience is action-packed

The guys continue to play the biggest nights not only in London, but all over the UK and also abroad - destinations of their international gigs have included Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi, New York, Dubai, Russia, Nigeria, Bulgaria and all the summer holiday hotspots such as Ibiza
