Biography

The Noughties was one of the best eras of music, and no other band better characterizes the era than the Blazin' Squad. Ten 16-year-old boys with a love for garage, hip hop, and R&B fused the sounds of their teenage years to make a soundtrack for other teens their age. Whether it was their underground garage bangers like "Standard Flow," their sexy R&B classics like "Flip Reverse," or the chart-topping smash-hit "Crossroads," the Squad brought a fresh, unique sound to the era. As the bad boys of pop back then, they definitely put the naughty into Noughties. Plastered over every teen girl's bedroom, featured in every teen magazine, and a staple of Saturday morning TV, the Squad was pivotal to the merger of UK rap with the mainstream music industry.

One of the most successful urban acts of the 00s, at the peak of their strength, the Squad amassed seven top 10 singles, two gold-selling albums, and an 11-date sold-out arena tour, filling the NEC, MEN, and Wembley Arena.

Twenty years on, the Blazin' torch is lit and burning just as bright as ever, carried by Melo, Ollie, Sam, and Love Island's very own Dr. Marcel. Following his stint on the ITV BAFTA-winning series, the Squad was resurgent with a 3000% increase in Spotify traffic and two sold-out headline shows at KOKO in Camden and the Brixton Electric Ballroom. They have been touring every year since.
