Mistress Mo has been a household name on the Midland’s circuit for nearly 10 years with early residencies at some of Birmingham’s most famous clubs but her horizons were broadened in 1997 by signing up to the UK’s first all female dj tour, “A Gift from the Gods”. Mo toured the country playing gigs from Aberdeen to Exeter, featuring on a full page in Mixmag every month and rocking-it at over 50 gigs nationwide in one year.

But clubs aside, it is the rave scene that has helped to establish Mo’s huge following of loyal fans, often the only female dj on the flyer! As resident and promoter of the legendary Flashback events with a capacity crowd of over 2500, she plays sets in both the old skool and drum n’ bass arenas.

Her technical dj skills and ability to read the crowd, playing a mixture of underground stormers, forgotten classics and of course, the latest promos, make Mo one of the hottest dj’s around. In addition to Flashback, Mo is also resident at HomeGrown, Birmingham’s awesome weekly drum n’ bass night. Recent gigs include main arena sets at Hysteria and Slammin’ Vinyl plus the Midland’s leg of the Movement tour, Innovation, Atomic Jam, Accelerated Culture and numerous smaller promotions. She plays to a global audience every Friday night on Kool Live and forthcoming gigs include Legends of the Dark Black and Devotion in Ibiza.

Mo’s style is varied, never shy of delving into the deepest, darkest sounds, lifting her sets with a blend of strong basslines and catchy riffs all tightly mixed with occasional teasers and plenty of cross fader action. Her eclectic retro sets feature all styles, from early ‘90’s house to breakbeat ’92 hardcore, crossover ’93 jungle techno, early drum n’ bass and classic anthems.

An extremely experienced and reliable dj, she keeps one eye constantly on the crowd and you know there’s always enough in her bag to keep everyone happy!
