Rachel McFarlane
Mancunian Rachel began her singing at the age of 12 as a gospel singer.
Her professional career began in 1994, when she joined forces with house music group Loveland, and released 5 dance tracks with them. Two of these ‘Let the Music Lift You Up’ and ‘I Need Somebody’ both crossed over into the National charts, and gave Rachel her first Top 20 hits.
She later worked with DJ’s N-Trance, and recorded the track ‘Turn Up The Power’. This then lead to Rachel releasing her debut single as a solo artist. The track ‘Lover’ made the UK charts, and was also sampled by Paul Van Dyk for his track ‘For An Angel’.
In 2004, she joined LMC as vocalist for their track ‘Take Me to the Clouds Above’. The song peaked at No.1, and became one of the biggest selling songs of the year, making Rachel McFarlane a true dance floor diva.
