Paul Morrell

Paul Morrell has been a firm fixture on the UK house music scene for over a decade, and may already be familiar to you. He is one of the hardest working and most diverse DJs performing on the club scene today, with an ear for great music and sound technical ability.

Morrell began his DJing career at the young age of 14 in his home town of Coventry, playing a mixture of trance and house, at clubs such as The Planet, Ikon, Crazy Daisy's and The Foundry. It was at these venues he began to work alongside the club scene DJ’ing ‘A List’ including Tall Paul, Judge Jules and Lisa Lashes.

He soon became a regular face at clubs such as Ministry of Sound (London), Progress (Derby), Judgement Sunday (Ibiza), Passion and Storm (Coalville). He has also performed for brands including Cream, Gatecrasher, Sundissential, Godskitchen, XXL London and Polysexual. Paul is also responsible for developing the prestigious clubbing brand "Classique", which has held parties across the UK and Ibiza, and has attracted artists such as Mark Knight, Paul Oakenfold, Shapeshifters, Mauro Picotto, & Jaguar Skills.

Recently Paul has performed to capacity crowds at The 35,000 capacity Weekend Festival (Finland) with Tiesto & Martin Garrix, Ministry of Sound (London), and also alongside Katy B, Example, Connor Maynard & Ms Dynamite at Birmingham Pride to a crowd in excess of 8,000.

Paul’s productions have been widely supported on radio by DJs including Diplo, Scott Mills & Judge Jules on BBC Radio 1, The Widebys on Kiss FM, as well as specialist dance shows including Don Diablo (Hexagon Radio), Paul Van Dyk (Soudgarten) & Paul Oakenfold (Perfecto Podcast). Recently Paul has been working with an array of high profile talent on new music. He has collaborated with Kelli Leigh (Duke Dumont / Bing Players), Boy George, Mutya Buena (Sugababes), Sonique, Kimberly Wyatt (Pussycatt Dolls), Katherine Ellis, Maria Nayler and Chris Leonard.

Paul remixed the Utah Saints hit single "What Can You Do For Me", which formed part of the Ministry of Sound re-release package, and charted in the UK at Number 28. That year he was also voted as Best Breakthrough DJ at the annual Gallery / Ministry of Sound Awards in London.

Paul's other remix catalogue is equally impressive, producing official club reworks for Livin’ Joy, Degrees of Motion, Lethal Bizzle, Jon Pleased Wimmin, KKlass, Judge Jules, Lisa Lashes, Ruff Drivers, Sonique, Shaddow Child, Gouryella, Stimulator, 4 Strings and Ariel.

Morrell currently holds a bi-monthly residency at Ministry of Sound for The Gallery, and a weekly Saturday residency at London gay superclub XXL where.

Recently, Paul has remixed 2 singles on the new All Saints 2016 album Red Flag. ‘This is a war’ & ‘One Woman Man’, both achieved massive success, and were supported on Radio and in club. He also hit the UK No.1 Club chart position with his remix of ‘I Luv U Baby’ for Dancing Divaz Vs The Original on Warner Music.
